Whiplash Blues

"Whiplash Blues" is the title of my abstract photograph that provides the background image to this blog. I snapped this image with my cell phone, and I thought it expressed better in image than in words, my greatest headache pain and health struggle which I call, "Whiplash Blues". The black shadow of the tree represents the complex post concussion head and cervical pain that I experience.  The rippling of the cove's water and the reflection of the blue sky describes my daily struggle of physical and emotional feelings, including the desire to not feel sorry for myself.  I try to maintain a positive attitude, reflecting upon where I can count my blessings and focus on what is going right, just breath! One only needs to turn on the news, or observe who shares a waiting room with you to understand there are others in greater distress.  But still, my family and I need to contend with the new me, and our lives, post concussion.

With encouragement of friends and family who love my photographs, I am beginning to publish my photographs.  For a wider range of opportunities, I am learning to take better quality images with a digital camera.  You will see a transition from mobile images to digital camera images.  I am told I have a good eye for photographs, but I will be on a technical learning curve for sure!  Although a picture states a 1000 words, I will be blogging about these photographs as well as the reflections of a multitude of experiences.  My goal is to at least post weekly.  I hope you enjoy, let me hear from you.
